value

“Another thing that can happen is, we can set up a business, for example, where we feel obligated to provide above and beyond what we feel are receiving in value. And so we can strive yet never arrive, and work ourselves down to the bone. And then subconsciously, stop taking sales calls and stop being visible. Because well, we know, rationally and consciously, we want to be making money and we want to be hitting our revenue goals. Subconsciously, the body's going, if you take on another client, you're gonna fall over dead from exhaustion. So it's removing that and putting into place and recognizing that your clients are actually investing in themselves through you. And that when they are putting their money on this and saying, This is a priority to me, and I'm going to take every moment to take action, because I've made this a priority. And not based on the fact that you don't value what you do in the way that your clients do. And the reason you don't is because it comes naturally to you. You know, it's something that is easy. So you would never go and invest in something that you already know how to do. But when you're working with someone, that's where it's not their wheelhouse and they see you as the person that can help them get to the place where they want to be. That is incredibly valuable to them. So those are just a few examples of how we can kind of view things from different perspectives, but then have this realization that Oh, having money doesn't mean I'm going to be a jerk and hold it over someone else that I used to love. I can actually have positive change here.”

What is my purpose?

“And it really is stemming down to the fact that we all want to feel in flow, we want to feel like we are working towards our life's purpose. I would say that probably the biggest question that everyone has is what is my purpose? I've always felt this deep inner peace. And at the same time, it's cognitive dissonance of if there's peace, why am I still searching for this purpose? What is going on here? And the idea of the inner and outer purpose is our inner purpose is simply stated as I am. I'm pausing there for a moment, because I really want everyone listening to just take a moment and see what comes up when you say I am.

It feels incomplete in the beginning, when we first hear it. I am what? I am a lawyer, I am injured, I am what is it... But that's what our brain is wanting to always do is attach some identity. And so we identify ourselves through our work, through our passions, sometimes through our illnesses. And words are so incredibly powerful. And I could identify as someone who has a brain injury. And if I identify that I have a brain injury, then the brain injury in that energy will strengthen and will grow and that will become part of my overall energy. But instead, I'm choosing to say that I am someone who experienced brain injury. I experienced a brain injury - that doesn't identify me as someone who has a brain injury. And so our inner purpose is, we are already complete.

I think a lot of people have been feeling as we grow in empathy for one another, we recognize that there are more that we have in common than we do have that are different about one another. And the more that we get to connect to know one another, the more we can really start to feel this bond, this energetic bond. And it really is that simple. We are all one, we all are connected as a collective consciousness. And that is our inner purpose is that we all are complete. Right now. That is something that I think many of us go back and forth.

What is my outcome? What is my purpose? Why am I here if we're already complete? That's where the outer purpose comes in. This is part of our actual body, our brain. The fact that we're here on this on this earth right now, in this very moment, it's allowing us to experience in human form experiences in a manifested world. And that is our outer purpose. And it's really more about being present and being in the moment. And that's where nature comes in. Because you cannot be more present and conscious than when in nature. Because it truly is awe inspiring.

And that's why I moved to New Mexico to really heal and to have that at my fingertips. Anytime I can literally walk outside my front door, I see beautiful mountains on one side and the Petroglyphs National Monument on the other side. And that allows me no matter what's going on in my outer purpose, to come back to my inner purpose, and just breathe in and feel and know that I'm okay. And know that I am complete, know that I am enough. And the outer purpose is just a fun experiment. It's just fun. It's not that serious. And we make it so serious. And the more we get caught up in this outer purpose, the more that we are really destroying this planet, and that we're really destroying ourselves, we're hurting and killing each other. And I believe that there will be a shift in consciousness in this coming year of 2022 and beyond. And I think more people are going to be experiencing that through coming back to nature more.”

awareness

“I do make an effort that I have time for a walk every day. I just take a deep breath in, and I give a big smile to myself and I just become incredibly present to what's right in front of me. The air temperature, if the sun is out or not, what the mountains look like - our mountains change every hour, every minute…And I just appreciate this beautiful present moment of being able to take in that fresh air and to see these beautiful natural surroundings.

Another thing that I do is, at night, sometimes I will not be able to sleep and it's usually around the full moon. I've been known to go outside and just lay down and do a moon bath in the middle of the night. And it is such a special experience because it's just getting flooded again with that beautiful feminine energy. And it's a very intimate experience. It feels like you're the only one there with the moon and with the stars, and just really appreciating the natural imminence and beauty. And I think this all started back to when I was healing from my brain injury. And noticing for the first time the details of my walk, and the shapes, the leaves and the different colors of the rocks. And that has never left. So having a very intentional walk, where I'm taking that in. It doesn't mean that I'm doing it every moment. You know, we all get into our own heads at some point. But it's just coming back to that awareness.“
